SUMMARY:Middlezoy Auster Fly-In
DESCRIPTION:The Middlezoy spring Fly-In is fast approaching and here are some more details \nMiddlezoy is a friendly airfield with a fantastic club house based in a wartime Nissen Hut.  There are three Austers based there and a selection of other interesting vintage aircraft (including a static Meteor) and vehicles.  The local Somerset Military Vehicle Group will be attending with a selection of wartime vehicles. \nThere is no landing fee and for saturday night\, overnight camping is possible near the aircraft\, or local hotels are not far away in Bridgewater or Langport.  If you wish to arrive on the Friday evening no problem. \nThe Military Vehicles will aim to arrive on Saturday at 1100.  The Airfield will be putting on food at a small cost per person and depending on numbers and weather we might have a skittles match in a local pub late afternoon. \nThe runway 26-08 will be the active as the other runway 33/15 is not opened until later in the spring.  Please check the airfield website https://www.mzaero.co.uk/ for details on PPR and noise abatement for arrivals. There is no fuel at Middlezoy\, the closest airfields with fuel are Henstridge (UL91 normally available) and Dunkeswell. \nFinally\, there is another airfield called Westonzoyland very close to Middlezoy so make sure you land at the correct place 😉 \nPlease can you email me roger.lane7@gmail.com if you are planning to attend as we need to plan food etc in advance.

SUMMARY:IAC Annual General Meeting (AGM)- Swindon
DESCRIPTION:The AGM will be held at the Marriott Hotel (Swindon) and is open to IAC members and partners\, and includes the possibility to visit the REME Museum at ( ex RAF) Lyneham .  After the record attendance at the 2025 AGM we have been working hard to make the 2026 AGM as memorable\, and start the new years activities with a great social occasion. \nFriday 6 March \n1300 The Auster Club have organised their own tour of the  Wroughton Science Museum  and it is limited to 15 people .  Tickets are £25.  The Tour is now fully booked. \nNote: Due to conditions in the historic aircraft hangar\, it is deemed unsafe and is unfortunately not part of the tour.  \n1800 - Meet in reception of hotel at 1800 to walk to a local pub The Royal Oak (13 minutes walk from the hotel).  The restaurant has been reserved and meal orders booked. \nSaturday 7 March- Visit REME museum . \n1200- Meet for a buffet lunch in the meeting room\,  followed by a guest speaker (1) Julian Gee talking about Spitfires (90th Anniversary).  After the talk you can continue looking around the museum.
